CONTENTS

Welcome to a new, more streamlined, monthly issue of The Neuropsychotherapist. Through a survey conducted earlier in the year we found that most readers were looking for a smaller, more regular publication than our existing mammoth quarterly magazine. So from October we are back with a more manageable monthly edition that won’t tax your download—or your printer (an interactive PDF gives you the option of printing without images for a hard copy of articles).

This month we are delighted to be able to share autobiographical insights from Allan Schore’s address to this year’s Annual Interpersonal Neurobiology Conference at UCLA. From the perspective of a true pioneer, Dr. Schore tells an unusual story of family, dedication, and sheer joy of learning that will inform and inspire.

As editor, I have for some time wanted to bring to you views on mental health from across a broader variety of disciplines, especially from the clinical perspective, and accordingly this month we feature an article from Stephen Ducat highlighting the integration of his own two professional worlds of psychoanalytic therapy and naturopathic medicine. Complementing this is a column by Jonathan Prousky, a doctor of naturopathic medicine and editor of the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine, who presents a grounded view of complementary and alternative medicine for mental health.
I do hope you enjoy our new monthly magazine, and I look forward to engaging with you on our website and online network.
